All instructors are certified by the American Heart Association, and the course follows the most current 2025 guidelines. You receive an AHA Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED eCard after successful completion.
Skills You Will Learn
This pediatric focused course teaches how to respond to medical situations involving children and infants. You will learn:
• How to recognize and assess an emergency
• How to perform CPR for children and infants
• How to use an AED
• How to relieve choking
• How to support a child until EMS arrives
• How to respond to breathing problems
• How to control bleeding and manage wounds
• How to care for burns, sprains, fractures, and sudden illness
• How to administer an epinephrine (epi) pen
• How to provide care while waiting for EMS
All skills are practiced hands on to ensure you feel confident and capable.
